The Blacksmiths Daughter

The inspiration for this piece came from observing this young girl. Initially she was standing outside her father’ forge. I also took photographs. The piece is taken from an actual incident, which I had observed. This young lady was being mocked by some tourists. They were on a cycling holiday and had stopped outside her fathers forge. I believe they were giggling at her workman like attire. She was obviously upset by their vulgar attention.
